Description
Classic design: Tilting crystal ball lamp on a circular chrome base.
Provenance: Private Collection, Buenos Aires – recently brought over to UK.
Jacques Adnet (1900–1984) understood the beauty of combining practicality with geometric simplicity. His Crystal Ball Lamp is one such combination and has become a classic in the repertoire of French design. At the peak of his artistic career he decorated the private apartments of the French President at the Elysée Palace and the meetings room of the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.
