    This silvered bas-relief in terracota is a reduced replica of the iconic facade bas-relief of the Folies-Bergeres cabaret by Maurice Picaud aka Pico (1900-1977). Maurice Picaud has designed the mythical facade of the cabaret in 1926 taking the Russian dancer Lila Nicolska as a model. Reduced replicas were edited shortly after. Photos show Maurice Picaud holding one of them. This work is representative of the French Art Deco at his best period. And this motive appears on the beautiful Paris exhibition catalog "1925 - Quand l'Art Déco séduit le monde". 1930s. Silvered cooked terracotta panel.
