Rare Vintage Sandro Petti 1960 Silver Nickel & Gold Brass Modern Chest / Console

Description
A very unique and remarkable Italian Mid-Century Modern one of a kind centerpiece or side table that can serve as a console with storage space, exclusive innovative and sophisticated Art Deco design by Sandro Petti with Hollywood Regency Glamour, in two tones gold and silver. The mixed use of brass and nickel is a common trait in Petti's luxurious work, an Avant Garde Architect who designed rare pieces for L' Angolo Metallarte in Rome and whose work was recognized in 1977 al Salone del Mobile with images on Casa Vogue magazine. Entirely handcrafted, the wood structure is clad at the front and sides in shiny gold brass while the horizontal surfaces are covered in silver chrome color, fitted with 6 drawers elegantly edged in black lacquer. The back is decorated with ash veneer so that the piece can be displayed away from the walls or in the center of a room, as a divider or behind a sofa.
