1940s Hollywood Regency Cut & Beveled Crystal Chandelier with Silvered Fittings

Description
This elegant four tier Hollywood Regency chandelier was realized in the United States, circa 1940. It features an abundance of fine crystals suspended from a silvered bronze frame. From a circular silvered bronze canopy- decorated with stylized acanthus leaf motifs in relief- a chain ascends which connects to a concave translucent crystal cup with raised striations. A wealth of octagonal crystals of increasing diameter drape downwards from this channeled dish- concealing the silvered rod within- and connect to the tiered body of the chandelier, adorned with stylized floral rivets decorating the perimeter. These rivets alternate between faceted pointed rivets and spherical chrome ones. The tiers, which decrease in diameter as they ascend, present myriad beveled elongated crystals with mucro points that encircle an orbital finial with diamond shaped facets. With its clean lines, beautiful quality of crystal, and glamorous old world sensibility, this piece is as versatile as it is aesthetically compelling, blending perfectly with any style of interior from Classic Art Deco/ Hollywood Regency to contemporary. It has been newly rewired and the height can be adjusted to suit. The chandelier accommodates six candelabra based bulbs providing up to 240 watts of light. Excellent vintage condition.
