English 19th Century Iron and Brass Culinary Scale

Description
An excellent English spring kitchen scale, manufactured by “Salter’s”, used for measuring fruits, vegetables and sugar and spices. This is a smaller model, No. 50. It will accurately weigh up to 15 kilos placed in its original square steel pan. The round dial is brass, with pressed numbers and increments. The base is made of solid cast iron with some ornamentation. c.1900s.
