Sun Marquina marble mirror by Joseph Vila Capdevila Material: Marquina marble, brass and mirror Dimensions: 30 x 38 x 12 cm Weight: 4.7 kg Luxurious mirror in two separated parts: the base, made with premium Carrara marble, and mirror, that can be placed on the vertical or horizontal way, and has a gold polished metal blade on the back. Aparentment is a space for creation and innovation, experimenting with materials with the goal to develop robust, lasting and timeless designs. Aparentment collections feature contemporary and casual sophistication. Parts made of noble materials such as Carrara marble, wood and brass play with the concepts of style and uniqueness. Josep Vila captures in his collections the creative discourse that motivates him as a professional. On the one hand, printing his aesthetic character in accessible designs with an artistic touch, playing with the metaphor & contradictions (like a Brique made of marble), transgress without losing the sophistication and looking for the opportunity to offer something different, working from design to production with local craftsmen and manufacturers. Josep Vila Capdevila is the founder and Head Designer of Aparentment, he graduates in industrial design by Elisava University in 2001. He postgraduates in Photography in Elisava and 3D Design Engineering at UPC. His multiple interests lead him to get involved with advertising, fashion, photojournalism and even music. In addition to his work under Aparentment, he was a teacher of Industrial Design at “Escola d’Art i Disseny de Terrassa” and won a LUX bronze award for ‘Best advertising photograph’.
