This wonderful painting is a genuine original oil on canvas by listed artist Michael Hafftka b.1954 -. It is a fine museum quality example of modern Expressionism and is entitled: Slung.
It measures approximately 78 x 62 ". The current gallery price for this artist is $55,000 to $100,000.

Provenance

Originally from the Robin Symes collection. Robin Symes and his partner Christo Michaelides had one of the largest collection of Michael Hafftka's early work of any private public collection. The paintings have never been in shows since the artist sold them to Robin and Christo in the 1980’s. These paintings hung at the Rockefeller Guesthouse on 52nd Street, a building designed by Philip C. Johnson in 1948,which at that time was owned by Robin and Christo. Even the artist has not seen theses paintings for many years, nor did he know where they were since Robin Symes sold the Rockefeller Guesthouse to Ronald S. Lauder in 1989.
