Description
Beautiful and very elegant original off the period Louis XVI / Louis seize commode / chest of three drawers from South Germany, probably Munich, circa 1790.
Excellent walnut veneered on pine with inlays in maple, plum and ebony. Three drawers with big old iron box locks. Greatly restored condition, shellac hand-polished (French polish). Brass key coat of arms are not the original and have been added later.
On the back, there is an old sticker saying the commode was once transported in Munich, Bavaria, Germany.
