Description
Late Edo / Early Meiji period (1860s) furosaki screen (tea screen) of various summer wildflowers. Signature reads: Ueno Setsugaku (1819 - 1894). He was a student of Yamamoto Baiitsu. His other name was Hokuriku Dojin. Calligraphy on the left reads: Various flowers scents and mist. It also dates the screen as 1874. Painted in mineral pigments on mulberry paper with a black lacquer frame.
