Fine Italian Neoclassical Walnut Commode
-
Description
This is a late 18th/early 19th century Italian 3-drawer commode. The commode is beautifully crafted of book-matched figured walnut which retains a superb rich natural patina. The chest is in very good original condition with normal age-related shrinkage and very minor wrapping--which is to be anticipated. The chest has been cleaned and waxed and is ready to go. The drawer pulls are not original and the locks are no longer present.
