Description
A pair of French carved cast stone lion garden statues from the 20th century, attributed to Antonio de Simone. These scrolled shield bearing lions are cast in a sitting position, with head facing forward with long, wavy mane and tail curled along side of the body. The crispness of the details of these statues are remarkable as the features are especially pronounced and further enhanced by the presence of moss.
