Description
This sophisticated Art Deco table was realized in France circa 1930. It features an x form base with streamlined supports and an octagonal top (formed from a square with cut corners)- all in beautiful bookmatched zebrawood showcasing a dramatic natural grain. A square elm pendant occupies the center of the zebrawood top with an ovoid form creating in walnut in its center. At the heart of this oval form is an eight sided ellipsoid form with streamlined sides separated by marquetry striations in walnut. With its beautiful attention to detail and clean modernist lines, this piece is as versatile as it is aesthetically striking. It would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Art Deco to contemporary. It has been newly restored to mint condition.
