French Palissy Majolica footed jardiniere, which features branch handles with snakes coiled around. The sides of the bowl have applied flowers, leaves, moths lizards and shells. The foot of the planter has a pair of frogs and tortoises. Colouration: cobalt blue, green, yellow, are predominant.

KILN EFFECTS: glaze miss to the bottoms of the snakes tails; glaze pops to the foot and where bowl joins foot. RESTORATION. Filled chip to the rim. Remodelled tortoise head on foot.
