Description
“Lamb” cast Iron still bank is a re-issue of a bank made in 1928. It was made by The John Wright Company in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania in 1970. They purchased the copyrights from the Grey Iron Casting Company and made this bank from the original pattern. It is quite collectible as such and is very well done and hand painted in accurate sheep colors and physical characteristics. The bank is in all original paint and in excellent condition. Message from Seller:
We are specialists in the field of antique mechanical coin banks. These rare and unique items were sold during the late 1800's and early 1900's to encourage and educate young children on the importance of saving money, with the majority of them having been made in America. We are leading experts in this field and one of the foremost dealers, having traded in mechanical banks since 1976.
