Bradley Stevens

American
Bradley Stevens, a leading American realist painter, honed his craft at George Washington University before teaching drawing and anatomy at both George Washington University and Georgetown University. His contemporary realism style, rooted in classical training, uniquely blends portraiture, landscapes, and figurative cityscapes. Stevens' commissioned works, often large-scale, adorn public and private spaces and include portraits of notable figures like Governor Mark Warner of Virginia and Vernon E. Jordan, Jr. His artistry extends beyond portraiture to historical reproductions for institutions like the White House and original works such as a mural commemorating the Connecticut Compromise of 1787 in the U.S. Capitol. Stevens' landscapes and cityscapes grace collections of major corporations and his participation in the Art in Embassies program reflects his international acclaim. Stevens and his wife, artist Patricia Skinner, reside in Virginia, often finding inspiration for their work during travels, particularly in the Pacific Northwest.
