Large 1950s Stilnovo Model 2079/1 brass & opaline glass sconce. Executed in brass, painted metal and thick blown opaline glass. A sculptural and refined design characteristic of midcentury Italian lighting at its highest level.

Stilnovo was one of the most innovative Italian lighting design companies during the midcentury era. Their designs have been long sought after by collectors in the know.

Rewired single socket 75 watt max medium base bulb (lower with incandescent). Original unmodified backplates. Minor patina, scrapes, scuffs, and bends as largely shown and noted only for accuracy. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee. Contact us to facilitate.
