Description
Grace your space with this 19th century Italian Venetian loveseat, settee or canapé. The frame carving is a a work of art featuring a rail of fine wood leaf design across the settee's back and scrolls and wings motifs on both the roll shaped arms all gilded to create a sense of opulence. The wood frame features a beautiful natural burl design and the settee is elevated by four turnip style legs, popular in the 19th century during the renaissance revival era, also carved of burl wood and gild decorated.
The settee has been very recently re-upholstered in an elegant silky mocha/ brown color fabric adding sophistication and elegance to this amazing piece.
