Console in Carrara Marble and Patinated Brass, Italy 1960s
-
Description
This 1960s Italian console has the look of a refined piece of furniture. The frame, which is made of brass, has acquired a beautiful patina over the years. Viewed from the sides, we see that a crossbar has been installed at about three-quarters of the height, which ensures that the console is very sturdy. The shape allows a wide variety of places where this item can be placed. The Carrara marble top rests on a raised edge that is fitted to the inside of the frame. This makes it look like the blade is floating just above the frame. The combination of marble and brass is chic, but with this ratio, it can also ensure that you can add a contrasting note to your interior. This console is therefore outspoken in material and color but modest in form. It's an ideal object to, for example, visually separate one room from another without it being noticed. The condition is very good with discoloration on the brass.
