Superb English mahogany bookcase from the 18th century in the Hepplewhite style and period circa 1775
Very beautiful English work in mahogany which stands out by its very good quality and its period. Indeed, it is rare to find an 18th century bookcase from the Hepplewhite period. The two round macarons on the doors are typical of this period. The doors are decorated with two round mahogany circles, small lemon inlay and a walnut inlay encircling the macaroons. Moreover, we can find lemon and walnut inlay on the lower and upper part of the two doors.
The bookcase is in three parts. The lower part, the glazed part and the cornice.
The top and bottom doors are decorated with a brass sticks
