English Chinoiserie Black and Gold Tall Secretary / Slant Front Desk

English hand decorated and painted Japanned secretary from the 1930s with black , red and gold chinoiserie décor with drop slant front desk. The secretary features a twin front door top. When open it reveals a red / gold hand painted chinoiserie figures and three adjustable painted wood shelves. Created in England during the first quarter of the mid 20th century. The secretary is just exquisite and captures the attention with its black , red and gold colors with its elegant lines and chinoiserie décor. It is broken down in two piece. the top part is sitting above two stunning doors adorned with chinoiserie figures in local customs . The central section presents a slant front writing desk. The writing area comes to rest on two pull outs. The bottom is made of three drawers, adorned with a similar décor. The sides are also decorated. The back is unfinished. The secretary is in great condition. Minor wear consistent with age / use. It stands 79.5" High X 36" wide X 25.5" D. opened is 35" deep.
