19th c. Collection of Twelve Gustavian 'Swedish Model' Chairs in Original Paint

Description
A collection of twelve similar 'Swedish Model' chairs from the Gustavian period, hand-scraped to the original paint surface and newly upholstered in linen. These beautiful, provincial chairs have oval pierced backs and fluted legs with cross stretchers. These chairs were collected from the province of Värmland. There are slight variations in the seat height, seat width, and back height.
