Monumental Georg Jensen Covered Fish Dish 335
Georg Jensen sterling silver fish platter #335C, mazarine #335C, and cover #335
designed by Johan Rohde circa 1919
Oval shape with handles in the form of shells. & an exquisite finial, comprised of two opposing fish with shells and grapes, a ring in the middle acts as a very functional handle.
Finial is framed by a large oval hand-chased scalloped pattern. The mazarine is a separate piece with hand cut openwork decoration, in the middle a fish in relief.
This piece is all handmade & with extensive chasing.
