Description
This dining table is stunning! A true masterpiece of Memphis Milano styling, drawing inspiration from the iconic designs of Ettore Sottsass, Vico Magistretti, and other members of the influential design collective. The table features a polished steel base that is shaped like a cone, with bold red stripes that add a pop of color and energy to the overall design.
The base of the table is reminiscent of the work of designer and architect Michele De Lucchi, who was one of the founding members of the Memphis group. The bold and playful use of color and form is also typical of the Memphis style, which was known for its avant-garde approach to design.
The table top is made from white Carrara marble, which is a favorite material of many Memphis designers, including Ettore Sottsass and Marco Zanini. The marble is elegant and refined, providing a beautiful contrast to the playful and bold design of the base.
The overall effect of this dining table is one of beauty, elegance, and whimsy, with its Memphis Milano-inspired styling and nods to the works of many famous members of the design collective. Its striking presence and unique design are sure to be a conversation starter at any dinner party, and its timeless appeal ensures that it will remain a treasured piece for many years to come
This dining table is photographed with Katavalos, Kelley and Littell T chais in a bold red leather. This dining table would look incredible in any mid century modern, post modern, mod or Memphis Milano styled home or business. It's a bold design choice that can be played up for maximalism, or played down for a more subtle nod to post modern styling. -
