Set of 4 Armchairs in Metal and Leather, France, 1970's

$ 14,100
  • Description
    Set of 4 very uniquely shaped dinging chairs with crazy armrests and rounded cushions varying in thickness and running all the way through to the bottom, where they do not really have any function anymore. That's what makes these chairs so confusing. They are probably french because I have seen similar items from that country with the same materials: white steel and this color leather. They are very heavy because of the steel construction that covers the whole back and is part of the seating frame too. It's definitely the rounded shapes that makes this set Stand out from the rest because most of the time chairs have something straight in them but these have nothing straight. Well, the armrests maybe, that look a bit out of proportions but work very well. The only straight part is the white metal stripe visible from the sides: Good arty chairs to sit in and have a deep conversation (about the weather or so).

    The leather is in very good condition and the color really comes out because of the contrasting white.

    A one of a kind set!!
