Paul Evans Rare and Important "Argente" 2-Door Cabinet 1968 (Signed and Dated)
-
Description
Rare and important Argente 2 door cabinet in welded and enameled aluminum with natural cleft slate top by Paul Evans, American 1968 (signed and dated “Paul Evans 68” on bottom of right door). The interior has the original black lacquer wash. His series “Argente,” which is Latin for silver, has become especially prized in recent decades, both for its melding of technology with hand-crafted touches and the rarity of the works. The Argente Series was only in production for a few years (1965-72). This piece is finished superbly on both the exterior and interior.
