Description
Kasia Kay is a Polish America multidisciplinary artist who works with sculpture, painting, and other media. The artist's stylistic and formal approach within each medium might vary, yet common themes prevail in her works. History, culture and travel may be sources of inspiration for Kay's creative processes. She is often interested in transcendent and numinous content. It is for both personal and aesthetic reasons. Kay rejects limitations within creativity and is open to diving into the unknown.
Kasia Kay received a BA degree in studio art and art history from Columbia College Chicago in 2004. Kay has exhibited in Belgium, Germany, Greece, Italy, and the United States, and her artworks are in several private collections.
Kay has completed several artist residencies and international curatorial programs in Germany, Greece, Italy, and the U.S.A. and curated and produced several international group exhibitions and site-specific projects in Athens (GR), Chicago (USA), Miami (USA), and New York (USA).
A founder of Kasia Kay Art Projects Gallery, which opened in Chicago in 2006, Kay produced at least 80 exhibitions locally. She established an international presence and art collections for represented by the gallery artists by participating in prestigious art fairs, including Art Miami and Scope Miami during Art Basel Miami Beach, Volta NY, Art Chicago, and Scope NY. Kay closed the gallery in 2016 to focus mainly on her artistic practice and curation of exhibitions.

Pavilion is the collective vision of Deborah Colman and Neil Kraus, both graduates of the master of fine arts program at the Art Institute of Chicago. From a longstanding interest in art and design, frequent buying trips to France and Italy have influenced the direction of the gallery to offer items that are not easily sourced in Chicago and United States. Postwar design has been the focus for 18 yrs and we also look forward to new design that crosses boundaries and dialogues as well to the past
