Metal Sculpture "Dance Of The Elements" by G. Fössl - Art Deco Style, AT 2020
-
Description
One of a kind, large metal sculpture handforged by the renowed Austrian art smith Gerald Fössl. This masterpiece was designed in the style of Art Deco and is called "dance of the elements". Created during the first pandemic in 2020, this piece of art impresses with different techniques of blacksmithing. Elaborately forged, twisted columns - each standing for one of the 5 elements: fire, water, earth, wood and metal - were mounted on a round base where you can also see the engraved connection between them. All columns have additionally been adorned by little hemispheres depicting the gold leaf plated chinese characters of each element. A small globe on top connects the five columns and builds the base for this stunning worked female dancer in absolutely artistic pose with a big gold leaf plated hoop. Mr. Fössl´s incredible sense for art combined with his amazing skills of blacksmithing created this valuable, unique sculpture which can be used freestanding but would also look fantastic in a "wall niche" - typical for Art Deco houses.
