Description
Beautiful Austrian Biedermeier nutwood wall mirror with facet cut mirror from the early period in Vienna around 1830. This lovely 19th century wall mirror shows a classical substructure made of spruce wood, veneered with fine nut wood and sealed with a traditionally hand polished shellac finish. Straight designed lines - typical for the early Biedermeier period - make this antique wall mirror a highly decorative piece of a Biedermeier wall mirror. Carved cherrywood bars on the inside build a fantastic contrast to the dark nutwood and set the faceted mirror plate perfectly in scene. Coming in great original condition with a gorgeous looking patina, only the mirrorplate had to be renewed. A hand forged ring on the backside makes wall mounting easy.
