19th Century Rustic Tramp Art Mirror - Double Frame, Handcarved, AT, ca. 1890
-
Description
Exceptional Tramp Art wall mirror from the late 19th century in Austria. This fantastic rustic wall mirror has been handcrafted in the period around 1890 and convinces with its amazing looking design: a dark stained doubled frame impressing with an unique carved narrower outer frame followed by appealing notch cut carvings on the main frame. Slightly protruding corners and a very dark brown, almost black looking color tone finished with mat varnish, makes this late 19th century rustic wall mirror a real special example in our highly demanded Tramp Art mirror collection. The mirror glass has been renewed during the restoration process. A metal clamp on the backside makes wall mounting easy.
