Patrick Carrara
French
Born in Nice, located in the picturesque southeast of France, Patrick Carrara embarked on his artistic journey in 1970, making his way to Paris. There, he pursued studies at the Fine and Graphic Arts school before embarking on a transformative journey across the Sahara desert. Venturing to the other side of the Atlantic, Carrara traveled north through Central America to Mexico and eventually the United States. Throughout his travels, he carried with him his essential tools: a leather briefcase containing paper, colored pencils, and a pen—symbols of his artistic passion and dedication.
It was upon his return to Paris that Carrara was able to fully establish himself as a painter and illustrator. However, by then, the epicenter of the art world had shifted to New York City. In 1994, he made the bold decision to relocate to Brooklyn, NY, where he has since made his home.
Patrick Carrara's artistic prowess is evident in the inclusion of his work in significant private and corporate collections, as well as its feature in esteemed art publications. His art has been showcased in galleries and art fairs worldwide, reflecting his global appeal. Carrara continues to create commissioned pieces for discerning collectors, showcasing his talent and passion for art.
