Pair of Large Lanterns From The Middlesex Hospital, London W1, England

$ 7,200
  • Description
    A superb pair of English copper, brass and wrought iron lanterns.

    Recovered from the portico of the The Middlesex Hospital on Goodge Street, London W1 when it was demolished to make way for luxury apartments in the early 2000s.

    This pair were made in the 1930s, tapering lanterns with spun copper tops above the conical milk glass shades and raised on scrolled chair irons.

    They will look stunning on the gateposts of an impressive private residence or boutique hotel.

    Alternatively they can be used inside as floor lamps, or in the garden.
