17th century rectangular walnut console on trestle base. Circa 1640s-1670s hand-carved walnut console table from Italy. Thick single-plank top raised upon squared-shape simple legs and trestle-construction base. Soft rounded edges of table's surface speaks to centuries of hand-worn use and wear. Gorgeous early patina. Mortise and tenon joints. Stable and sturdy.
