Description
The Luca Nichetto 381 Torei Table by Cassina is a high-quality furniture piece made from marble. This table is designed to encourage hospitality and sharing. The marble top has gently curved edges with a subtle lip and is supported by a sophisticated matte black metal base, perfect for display or dining, and its resilient material is certain to last for years.
Luca Nichetto is a young multidisciplinary designer born in 1976 and grew up on the storied island of Murano. He studied at Istituto Statale d’Arte di Venezia and earned a degree in industrial design at the Università Luav di Venezia in 1998, leading to formative early projects with venerable Murano glassmaker Salviati and leading lighting company Foscarini. Nichetto’s work has resonated widely with many; he won the Interior Innovation Award in 2013 and his work has been exhibited in many shows worldwide including Venice, London, Paris, and Stockholm.
Cassina was established in 1927 in the Northern region of Brianza, Italy, an area noted for its skilled artisans and woodworkers. Rooted in high quality Italian craftsmanship Cassina began acquiring licenses to reproduce some of the world’s most well renowned furniture designs. The incredible quality of materials leads to the most amazing expression of form and function celebrating new design as well as highlighting notable designs of the past.
