Description
Art Nouveau glass decanter with engraved silver overlay, ca 1900. Hemispheric bowl with star cut to underside. Short neck and helmet mouth in silver collar as is high-looping c-scroll handle. Ball stopper. Dense overlay in form of fruiting grapevine with outsized leaves and entwined and looping tendrils. Scrolled cartouche engraved with script monogram. Glass is red. Silver marked “Sterling” with La Pierre maker’s stamp. Very good condition.
