This brilliantly designed Mid-Century Modernist Leather Dining/Desk Chair by Mario Bellini for Cassina originates from Italy circa 1970 It features a highly thoughtful design and innovative use of materials. Reflecting the nature of the skeleton, this chair is supported by a steel frame, upon which 22 individual cowhide pieces are sewn together to form a single cover. This cover then zips onto the frame like a custom garment, concealing the frame and creating an elegant chair with excellent stability. Bellini is internationally renown for his architectural career, pioneering massive projects all over the world, and for his beloved work on the design stage. A truly stunning set, this dining chair will style beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors. It has the original Cassina sticker beneath the seat. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
