Description
An antique Japanese, late Meiji era, enamel over gilt copper charger plate. The plate is adorned with polychrome enamel figural medallions made in the shape of a fan, a heart, a flower, and a diamond depicting blossoming flowers and butterflies on the turquoise ground surrounded by floral and foliate scroll ornaments made in the Cloisonne technique and decorated with gilding. The backside is decorated with floral, and foliate scroll ornaments made in the Cloisonne technique. A hanging mechanism is on the backside. Unmarked. Circa: the late 19th to the early 20th century.
