Description
Endless Loop From a Circular Ring 11. Conceived in 1947-1949, executed in 1958 in gilded brass with white marble base.
Exhibited in the first Max Bill Exhibition in the United States in New York CIty at the Staempfli Gallery one-man show, March 19 - April 13, 1963 as catalogue #20. Purchased from the Staempfli Gallery, NY by Alfred and Anne Bromberg of Dallas, Tx and acquired from the Bromberg estate 2024.
Anne Bromberg, a respected art scholar who worked at the Dallas Museum of Art as a lecturer, educator and was curator for nearly six decades.
Alfred Bromberg was University Distinguished Professor of Law at the Dedman School of Law, Southern Methodist University and a nationally known legal scholar.
The mirror polished, gilded brass is in good condition and is free of dents and repairs. The mahogany pivoting display stand is not an original, integral part of the work but was created by the Bromberg family to display the piece in their home and will be included with the sale. -
