Description
This highly elegant Art Deco Dining Table in Book-Matched Walnut and Black Lacquer Custom by Gilbert Rohde originates from the United States, Circa 1940. This dining table features a highly elegant and well finished streamlined appearance, with a bold edge in gleaming black lacquer with a stunning top surfaced of book-matched walnut. The supports have stunning curves facing the center of the table, mirroring the curves of each end of the table’s top surface. Each support features a square cutout motif with a gleaming rounded edge of black lacquer accenting each section. The table expands with an internal framework and comes with two additional leaves that easily install allowing this table to seat 8-10 people. The table is 100 inches long with the leaves extended, 18 inches width of each leaf, and 64 inches when closed without leaves installed. This brilliant example of the designs and innovative execution of Gilbert Rohde, this is a gem of the Art Deco era and will style beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Art Deco to Mid-Century Modernist and Contemporary Interiors.
