This Vintage Persian Mahal Rug was hand woven in Iran's Mahal region and has been expertly distressed and refinished in the U.S. With a size of 9' x 12'6", it is a testament to the rich Persian (Iranian) art and culture. Rug-weaving in Persia has a long history, dating back to the Bronze Age, with some of the earliest surviving pieces originating from the Safavid dynasty in the 16th century.
