Description
Georgian sterling silver wax jack, 1897. Central pole with acornl finial mounted to round and beaded stand; capped flying scroll handle. Wax coil to be threaded through split disc mounted to pincers with scroll handles. A Ye Olden Days tool for sealing letters by a Gilded Age New York maker (Howard & Co.). Fully marked including maker’s stamp and year. Very good condition.
