Description
An antique Japanese silver wire enamel Kogo box for incense. Early Meiji period. The oval shaped box is covered with polychrome medallions representing a pair of Phoenix birds and flowers surrounded by floral and foliate scroll ornaments made in the cloisonne enamel technique. A lid is made in the same design. A gold wash interior. Collectible Asian and Oriental Home Decor, Vanity Items, Trinket Boxes and Cases.
