Description
This armchair is a masterpiece of design when one looks at how simple and elegant it really is. Pine was widely used by different furniture designers in furniture in 1930s-1970s, for obvious reasons, mainly the close to nature look that it resembels. Pine reconnects you to nature from the depths of your living room, and its pleasing to the eye. This chair is also very comfortable to sit in and will suit any inside room, as well as the balcony or terrace for example.
The designer Karl Olof Ottelin(1917-1971) was an interior architect and furniture designer that worked in 1950s for Stockmann`s furniture department as chief designer and manager.
Ottelin had a number of well known modernistic designs such as Status, Camillo, Nero, Kaleva, and Othello. This design was named the Nordika series, which also included small dining chairs and a sofa. -
