    EARLY 19TH FRENCH SCHOOL
    PAIR OF STILL LIFES WITH GAME, OIL ON CANVAS

    Both paintings depicting a bag of game lying on a stone plinth with various game to include duck and curlew.
    In the foreground are various fruits grapes, figs and peaches alongside smaller birds. In the background of each painting is a dog; in one a sight hound and in the other a bulldog.
    Both paintings in a park setting with trees and flowers, with a chateau in the background of one.
    Framed in later carved and painted green frames which have been reduced in size. One of the paintings has some slight rubbing in the paint.
