French 19th Century Faux Bamboo Pine & Mirror Armoire
-
Description
Dimensions: 93” H x 44 ½” W x 19 ½” D
A faux-bamboo pine armoire from France, late 19th century, with a lovely amber patina in the frame. This tall storage piece appears as a rectangular silhouette, projecting a peaked crown at the top with a low pediment filled by a geometric design of finely carved faux bamboo trim. Turreted corners–a classic French detail–round out the crown. The mirrored door draws us in with its beveled edges and notched corners, lightly touched with foxing, making it a great choice to decorate any room and across a multitude of interior design tastes. Behind the door is an interior fitted with four shelves, 13 ¼” deep–adjustable on sawtooth brackets–trimmed in faux bamboo for a cohesive look. A drawer at the base retains a working lock, using the key as a pull. Cleaned, tightened, and polished with a French paste wax this impressive armoire is ready for your interior.
