Description
A fine rare late 19th Century English Country House terracotta centrepiece garden urn on pedestal.
In the style of by Doulton of Lambeth. Of campana form, glazed, rope detail and craquelure detail, above bold masked handles. The urn standing on its original pedestal. In worn condition, neither the urn or base are stamped but style, glaze and form are in line with Lambeth Doulton designs.
It is a beautifully decorative piece, has an aged weather worn look with some losses would look wonderful in a summerhouse, hallway or home as a decorative piece. Also suitable for use as a garden ornament.
Bottom plinth measures 35cm wide tapering to 29cm, 34cm tall.
Middle foot measures 23cm wide, tapering to 10cm, 20cm tall.
Urn overall diameter: 50cm wide x 50cm tall. Overall height approx 90cm. -
