The low table is a cross-section of a beautifully gnarled tree trunk, chosen for the incredible web of burls that envelops the exterior. The rippling texture of knots and burls enlivens the wood with turbulent movement, minimally worked to preserve its wabi-sabi spirit and impart a smooth finish.
