Rare Vintage Eames Lounge Chair & Ottoman 670/671 – 2nd Generation, 1960s | Walnut & Moss Green Leather

This is the chance at a rare vintage Walnut version of the Eames Lounge Chair. This is the only one we have ever seen. Has all the signs of being vintage chair but it is not in Rosewood veneer as is typical. We believe that the chair may been a customer order at the time.

An iconic piece of 20th-century design, this authentic vintage Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman (model 670/671) is a Second generation set produced in the early 1960s. This particular example is a rare customer ordered Walnut chair. With new, supple "Moss" Green Leather. Richly figured old growth Walnut shells.

Designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller and introduced in 1956, the Lounge Chair and Ottoman quickly became a symbol of luxury, innovation, and timeless modernism. This third-generation version retains the integrity of the classic form while showcasing details specific to early 1970s production the coveted deep rosewood grain, now no longer available due to export restrictions on Brazilian rosewood.

Authentic vintage Second-generation production (early 1960s) with Round Cushion clips.
New Italian Full Aniline Moss Green leather with a beautifully worn-in look and softness or we can put it in classic black.
Down Filled Cushions.
Rich, highly figured Walnut veneer shells- this chair has a really unique Walnut grain.
Debossed matched numbered shells. Shells are numbered "6". All panels match therefore the Walnut Grain matches.
