This exquisite pair of Mid-Century Modernist 18-karat gold earrings, adorned with emeralds, diamonds, rubies, and sapphires, originates from Italy and dates back to circa 1950. Crafted with timeless elegance, the earrings feature a shield-shaped silhouette, beautifully ornate and adorned with a dazzling array of precious gemstones. At the center, a round-cut diamond sparkles brilliantly, encircled by four marquise-cut emeralds that radiate outward along the diagonal axes, creating a striking visual symmetry. Along the outer edges, four round-cut sapphires adorn each corner, while two round-cut rubies grace each side, completing the radiant composition. Intricate curvilinear gold detailing adds depth and sophistication, accentuating the vibrant stones and lending a uniquely personal yet universally elegant touch to the design.

The earrings are designed with thoughtful precision, showcasing the finest cuts of gemstones to enhance their brilliance. They include four marquise-cut emeralds, each measuring 5mm in length and weighing approximately 0.25 carats total weight (ctw) per stone, resulting in a combined total of 1.00 ctw of emeralds. Surrounding the emeralds are four round-cut sapphires, each 2mm in size, contributing 0.03 ctw per stone for a total of 0.12 ctw. Two round-cut rubies, also 2mm in size, add 0.03 ctw per stone, resulting in 0.06 ctw of rubies overall. Finally, the brilliant round-cut diamond at the center measures 2mm and adds 0.03 ctw of radiant charm. Together, these gemstones are beautifully complemented by the luminous 18-karat gold, bringing the total weight of the earrings to 8 grams. The earrings are stamped ""750"" to denote their gold composition.
