Vintage Abstract Hard-Edge Painting by Margaret Pomfret on Canvas

Offered fort sale is a vintage abstract hard edge painting by Margaret t (1928-2016). Pomfret was a professional artist and taught in New York City public high schools. She moved to Seattle in 1990 where she lived and worked as an artist. This painting is titled
"Book XI", and is part of her "Book Series" paintings from the early 1900s. The work uses vibrant colors and unusual angles to create optical illusions. The painting is titled, dated, and signed on verso. It retains a gallery tag on the linen canvas frame edge.
