Brutalist Oak Buffet, Belgium, 1960s
-
Description
This striking brutalist Belgian oak sideboard, model 187/9, embodies the refined craftsmanship and geometric elegance of 1960s furniture design. Constructed from solid and veneered oak, the piece features a symmetrical façade with four central drawers flanked by two pairs of cupboard doors. The doors are adorned with recessed, square-panel carvings, creating a distinctive architectural look, while the drawers are finished with minimalist black rectangular pulls that contrast beautifully against the warm oak tones.
The original factory production label remains affixed to the back, noting the assembler responsible for its careful construction, adding provenance and authenticity to this piece. Its clean lines, sculptural door panels, and balanced proportions make it a perfect fit for both rustic and modern interiors. - More Information
